This school is the most non diverse school in all of craven county. It is mostly filled with white people that think they can call everyone there N- words. The staff is not helpful and are extremely rude. Don't expect much out of this crappy school.
I was there for two years, and I can say that not all the teachers do their job. The staff wasn't very useful and the students are defiantly not the best, BUT, there were some very nice people there, very few, but those made the school 10X better. The education is decent.
This school sucks hard cow hole. the teachers are rude. the students are disrespectful. it isnt a good environment for children. yeah we have sports, clubs, and other after school activities such as dances but other than that tucker creek middle school is complete garbage. this is a new year and some of our staff has changed but if i could bring n staff member back it would be Officer Mac. he was so nice and funny. he interacted with the students rather than stay in his office all day like some people. Officer Mac was the highlight of my whole 2016-2017 year. he made me happy when i was sad and i wish we had more people like him at our school.
Band class and Art class are the only good things about this school. The teachers are either horrible or amazing, there is no in between. The kids are meh, if you want to make friends you have to be able to take a joke. Still better than HMS tho
The school was dreadful. The principal did nothing amidst complaints about teachers, and complaints there were, some teachers barely taught you anything. If you did a minor offense, you'd be sentenced to something called "silent lunch" which is completely and utterly redundant. Being silent during lunch was barely a punishment since lunch time was only twenty minutes long. You had 5 minutes to get to each class, which were each 20 feet away from one another, due to this, students had almost no time to eat. Classes were for some reason an hour and a half long, which keeps students interested for only 45 minutes, and the rest is just waiting for the class to end. The last two classes last for 45 minutes and are usually the better classes. The gym teachers actually cared about fitness, and not getting their paycheck. In the 8th grade, the two best teachers were Mr. Glass, the science teacher, and Mrs. Leonhardt, the ela/history teacher. Both these teachers cared about teaching and their students, and made classes fun for everybody, they were both saving graces for the school.
