It all started when I made Reservation. The lady on the phone was very polite. At check in it was the same very courteous. Went to our room and WOW full size refrigerator nice sink and huge size Microwave. The beds we perfect 2 queens size. The Heater and A.c. unit was actually to quite!! I had to use a white noise App. On my phone ... Really. Than in the morning I turned the corner at the breakfast bar and it had me smiling!! The food, Drinks, and coffee were perfect to start me off right. But this could not have happened if it wasn't for a very nice lady who was working Thanksgiving Morning. Her name tag read Sandy. This hotel is poor. The facility itself is dirty from the time you enter the lobby. The room itself "appeared" clean, bit given the condition of the rest of the facility, i have a feeling it was not what it appeared. The shower was absolutely filthy. The workout center has non-working equipment. On a bright note, the breakfast wasn't horrid, but you have to question the high health department score that was posted given how dirty the rest of the place was.
Simple visit. Went for a social. room for registration was adequate enough. Staff was friendly. The tourist center/museum right behind the hotel is great for learning about the base and area. Have never stayed at the rooms here.
This hotel is located in a quiet part of Havelock, NC but be aware that military planes do fly loudly overhead often (during the day). This wasn't a problem for me since my family is into jets and stuff, so we enjoyed it. The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was surprisingly good and plentiful. They didn't run out of anything and the coffee was actually good. The hotel itself is quiet, and unfortunately not the cleanest, but the hotel staff was accommodating to our needs and promptly brought us towels and fresh sheets when we requested.
Rooms were clean. Water was hot. A lot of options for breakfast. The staff was very nice as well.
